Unenergetic Golden Retriever Reactivates Itself

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

My Golden Retriever would not have been alive today if not for Dr. Ava Frick. Her unique knowledge on nutritional needs saved Zoltan. To look at him today, you would have no clue how close I came to losing him. I am so thankful to have found Dr. Frick. Zoltan and I express our deepest gratitude towards her.

Zoltan used to be a perfect and healthy little guy. We had settled into a nice routine together as two bachelors, and he was very active. Then my dog started to lose his appetite on both eating and drinking when he was about seven months old. He had always been fairly vocal, but now he barely barked. He seemed to have lost his boundless puppy energy and left his eyes and nose dry. He became so tiresome and wanted to sleep most of the time.

At first, I thought he must feel a little under the weather and he would be back to his old self within a day or two. I truly felt helpless as I watched him go downhill. I also noticed that he loses weight as he grows at the same time. In about two weeks, he had lost two and a half pounds. I researched online and found a bland recipe of homemade chicken and rice. For a few days there, I had some luck getting him to eat this, but he soon lost interest.

I came across Dr. Frick’s practice while researching online and learned the great things she has done with canine chiropractic and other pet issues and thought that I might be mistaking. Her work in the animal pain management area really caught my attention and made me realize that she is the right person to help Zoltan even if I do not have any idea if Zoltan is really hurting.

Dr. Frick explained the importance of nutrition to me. Then, she recommended a brand that she believes is the most effective whole food nutrition available. Standard Process Veterinary Formula products were very new to me and was the first time I have heard of it. We started Zoltan on Canine Whole Body Support, Organically Bound Minerals, Myo-Plus, Neurotrophin PMG, and Neuroplex, right away.

Then Zoltan’s health gradually improved and was able to retain those sparkling eyes again. Zoltan gained 30 pounds back in six months. I was able to continue feeding him regular dog food during treatment, which saved me a lot of money and allowed my somewhat picky eater to eat the food that I already knew he liked. As Zoltan retrieves his health back, Dr. Frick advised to detach the majority of the supplements from Zoltan except for the Canine Support and Organically Bound Minerals each day.

Dr. Ava Frick offers pet nutritional supplements at Animal Fitness Center, PC, a health clinic that aims on animal treatment, pain administration, and pet chiropractic protection.
